It has been a busy few days for the Women & Girls section at the club.
On Thursday our Under 14/15 team played against Esher in the SJCC Hundred Cup at Reigate CC.
Ashtead recovered from the loss of four early wickets to post a healthy total of 134 in the Under 14/15 competition. Despite positive batting throughout, Esher fell a little short ending on 107, in another game played in excellent spirits.
On Friday the section held its awards night to celebrate the successes of all age groups from U8-U18 and Women's with over 30 awards presented by Chairman, Nick Hill.
Today saw the women's team play their Surrey Slam Plate semi final against Purley at Horsley & Send CC. After a fabulous wicket on the first ball of the Purley innings, the team went on to bowl Purley out for 68 and they won the match in the seventh over.
The final will be played at the Oval on Sunday 22 September. Do come along and support the team.
Our congratulations goes to all the players and our thanks goes to the managers and all the supporters.
